To ensure that Aboriginal people have access to safe and affordable housing, to serve as the collective voice of the Aboriginal people in Red Deer, and to provide advocacy that will strengthen and improve access to appropriate and sustainable housing and supports for the First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples of Red Deer.
The Education domain promotes reciprocal and inter-generational learning and supports, to increase collaboration to provide Aboriginal learners the opportunity to have access to authentic indigenous learning.
The Health domain uses the medicine wheel teachings to encourage healthy lifestyles through the promotion of health and wellness.
To ensure that Aboriginal people have access to culturally sensitive services to support them in the transition from correctional institutions into mainstream community, to create systemic change in coordination with community partners to aid in breaking the cycle of criminalizing Aboriginal people.
To ensure that Aboriginal families will be supported and provided opportunities to be healthy (physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually) and connected to their culture through community collaboration.
The Employment domain promotes and strengthens the Aboriginal presence in the workforce through inclusion, participation and equality in Red Deer. The aim is to increase employment of Aboriginal people in Red Deer’s urban workforce.
